About Earlobe Repair
When a piercing stretches the earlobe to more than 8mm, the hole is unlikely to entirely retract to its original size. This results in an earlobe that is unusually shaped and is sometimes challenging to conceal with hair, particularly for males with shorter haircuts. When an earlobe completely tears due to overstretching or unintentional ripping while wearing earrings, Signature Clinic offers a surgery called split earlobe repair. People who have stretched earlobes due to piercing, also known as a flesh tunnel, can have a surgical surgery called stretched earlobe repair. Almost identical to split earlobe repair surgery.
Procedure:
To fix the damaged region, the skin is trimmed around the torn or stretched area and then stitched back together to repair the affected area. It is a quick and easy surgery carried out under local anaesthesia. Earlobe repair procedures usually take 30 minutes and scarring usually fades away completely with time.
Aftercare:
Small scars on the ears will remain after your earlobe repair surgery; they will first be red but later turn a faint silvery colour. The earlobe should seem nearly entirely normal and free of evident evidence of the prior piercing after 4-6 months. Six months following the procedure, ears can be pierced again.

You shouldn’t experience any pain at all, other than the local anaesthetic injection, which could feel like a small prick. As the entire ear starts to numb, you can feel a mild stinging sensation. Once the procedure is complete and the anaesthetic wears off, a small amount of discomfort could be felt.
Yes, earlobe reduction surgery results are permanent. Over time, the earlobe may still be impacted by things like ageing or wearing large earrings.
