Dental Bridge

A dental bridge effectively closes off gaps in your mouth. It entails using a prosthetic tooth that is attached to the natural teeth on either side of the gap to replace a lost tooth. Dental bridges often come in two varieties. The most typical type has two metal or porcelain crowns that are firmly affixed to your tooth structure on either side of the gap, with the fake tooth (or teeth) in the center.

Dental Bridges Procedure:

Your dentist will make an impression of your mouth to use when making the bridge. To ensure that the bridge fits your mouth as exactly as possible, a plaster mould of your teeth and gums must be prepared. Your dentist will choose the ideal tint for your bridge at this time so that it blends in with your tooth structure.

Following the dentist’s recommendations, a certified lab specialist creates the bridge specifically for each patient. Whilst you await the creation of your custom bridge, your dentist can install an interim remedy, such as a plastic bridge or crown. Your dentist will fit your new bridge once it is finished. First, before the operation starts, a local anaesthetic injection will be given to you to suppress any discomfort coming from your gums. Despite this, you will remain awake throughout the surgery. By examining your bite while the bridge is in position, the dentist will make sure the fit is satisfactory.

Do You Require a Dental Bridge?

If you’ve got a lost tooth or teeth, dental bridges will be capable of aiding you. Poor oral health, inflamed gums, and tooth injury are the most common causes of lost teeth. Or perhaps you were born without teeth due to a congenital disorder. You need healthy teeth on either side of the missing teeth in order to acquire a dental bridge.
