A dorsal slit procedure is performed for men with phimosis, balanitis causing phimosis, and paraphimosis as an urgent-type procedure that relieves the symptoms quickly and with minimal side effects. Dorsal slit procedure can be performed in our clinics under local anesthesia in less than 30 minutes with a short recovery period.

Dorsal Slit Recovery Process: 

Once the procedure is over, you could feel uncomfortable for a few days. However, the doctor will provide painkillers to lessen the discomfort. You won’t need to return to the clinic for the removal of the stitches because the doctors typically use absorbable ones. Wearing lightweight, comfortable innerwear would be necessary. If you encounter prolonged pain, let the doctor know.
