What made you go for lower blepharoplasty surgery?

I looked tired and had bags under my right eye. In the morning, I just looked at myself in the mirror and thought that I needed to go back to bed for another 10 hours. In the end, I decided to book a consultation with a surgeon. This led to me being here today ready for the surgery.

Were there any concerns before the surgery? How was the experience with the surgeon?

I had a lot of concerns before the surgery, which I discussed with Dr Amro on the phone and he put me at ease. When I arrived at the clinic, I had a few more questions and again he made me feel comfortable, which helped me to relax and not feel anxious at all. The surgery went smoothly and was over before I knew it.

Was it painful?

The only pain I felt was from the initial injection of local anaesthesia. As soon as this took effect, I didn’t feel anything else and my eyesight returned to normal. You could feel when they were cauterising the ligament; it felt like smoke getting into your eyes. Other than that, there were no real issues at all during the surgery.

How was your aftercare experience?

I got the antibiotics and creams from the clinic. I followed those instructions and managed to get the right sleep schedule going, everything that I was advised to do helped with my healing. I got a call from the aftercare team a week after to see if there were any issues and to be honest there hasn’t been an issue since. I didn’t need any further help but I always knew that they were on hand if I did have any questions or concerns.

Would you recommend Signature Clinic to others?

Absolutely! From start to finish, I did my research and approached the clinic, then had my surgery and aftercare. The doctors and his support team made the process enjoyable, as you can kind of make your face cut and put it back together if you know what I mean.
