Mr Hisham Abouzeid

Mr. Hisham Abouzeid is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a career spanning more than 30 years in the UK and internationally. After completing his medical degree in 1983, he pursued specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology, achieving a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and later an MSc in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy in 2016.

Throughout his career, Mr. Abouzeid has held numerous senior clinical positions within respected medical institutions, including a role at The Teaching Hospital of the University of Cambridge. In 2007, he was appointed Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with a particular focus on colposcopy, gynaecological oncology, and minimally invasive surgery.

In 2017, Mr. Abouzeid became the Lead Consultant for Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy Services at Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Manchester. During this time, he also contributed to the Trust’s Endometriosis Centre team, further strengthening his expertise in complex gynaecological care.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Abouzeid plays an active role in medical education and research. He is recognised as a preceptor for Advanced Training Skill Modules at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, supporting training in benign abdominal surgery, gynaecological oncology, laparoscopic surgery, and colposcopy.

He has contributed significantly to academic research in obstetrics and gynaecology, with several peer-reviewed publications and regular contributions to the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
