About Penile Implant

Inflatable or flexible rods are inserted into the penis during surgery. The device is inserted surgically into the penis through a small incision made in the lower abdomen or the scrotum. The device can stay inside the penis permanently, or it can be removed during a surgical procedure.
Men suffering from erectile dysfunction who have not responded to other treatments may be candidates for a penile implant. You can talk with your doctor about whether or not you are qualified for the procedure.

What is Penile Implant ?

Penile implants imitate a natural erection, allowing you to engage in sexual activity. They do not affect the hardening of the penis head, nor sensation or orgasm.
There are three main types of penile implants:
  • Three-piece inflatable pump
The three-piece inflatable pump consists of two cylinders in the penis, an inflated pump in the scrotum, and a fluid-filled container in the abdomen. A special tubing connects all of these parts.
  • Two-piece inflatable
Similar to the three-piece inflatable device. Rather than a separate fluid-filled container, the fluid is stored within the scrotum pump. This device, on the other hand, is not as hard as the three-piece implant.
  • Semi-rigid or malleable rods
This procedure involves two flexible rods being inserted into the penis. The implants are always the same size and stiffness, and they remain semi-rigid. be moved to other positions.
Each implant is custom-fit and surgically placed into a penis to produce a natural-looking and natural-feeling erection.
