Follicular Unit Transplant, commonly referred to as FUT or the ‘strip’ method. This form of hair transplant is when our surgeon excises a strip of skin from the donor region (sides and back of the head), after the strip has been removed then the team of technicians begin to carefully dissect and separate the follicles within the strip for the surgeon to transplant.
The scar is completely dependent on the skill and expertise of your surgeon, and your donor region. Our surgeons are highly experienced and the scar is often compared to a thin pencil line mark.
Unlike typical scar reduction procedures, we have an in-house Scalp Micropigmentation specialist. He is able to provide you with SMP for Scar camoflauge; this will take around 1 hour.
In FUT, the donor strip is first removed from the scalp and then we begin the magnification and dissection part, during this the follicular units are carefully isolated with their protective tissue intact. This process typically yields high-quality grafts, especially when clinical assistants are extensively trained in stereo-microscopic dissection.
It’s crucial to follow the aftercare regime, which will be provided to you post treatment. Aftercare typically takes 10-14 days.
We pride ourselves on fair pricing strategies at Signature, as our team have encountered many patients who endeavoured to foreign countries for medical tourism due to pricing issues, and have met the team at a unsalvageable time. Our price is from £1950, and on average £3350.
