About Brazilian Butt Lifts

Brazilian Butt Lift, most commonly referred to as a BBL is the most popular form of butt augmentation available today. This treatment uses the patient’s own harvested fat from donor regions to enhance the gluteal region. This results in more plump and shaped buttocks as well as an increase in their size. The benefit to this treatment is you will be able to improve the gluteal region while subsequently reducing fat from other regions. Most commonly, patients will remove abdomen/waistline fat to enhance the results of the BBL.

What happens on the day of the procedure?

On the day of your procedure you will arrive at the clinic where we will collate all of the required medical history forms for you. We will then take clinic photos and you will meet your surgeon who will go through the surgical consent, potential risks, and answer any questions you may have.

Once you are taken to theatre the surgeon will mark the treatment areas and begin by injecting the local anaesthetic to the region to numb the treatment areas. We will then perform liposuction with the Vibrasat Pro machine which will also work with filtering and cleaning the fat, separating the anaesthetic, blood, and other components away from the fat. After this part, we will then inject the donor fat into the gluteal areas you are looking to enhance.

After your treatment a member of the team will discuss your aftercare with you. We will supply you with a BBL pillow and your compression garments to use for the next 6 weeks.

Brazilian Butt Lift FAQ

Am I a suitable candidate for Brazilian butt lift surgery?2021-03-31T14:35:21+01:00

Most women who are interested in this treatment are suitable candidates should they be medically fit and well. A woman who is interested in improving and enhancing the gluteal region who, most importantly, has suitable donor regions of fat to meet her treatment expectations would be the best type of candidate.

How long does recovery take after a Brazilian butt lift?2021-03-31T14:39:00+01:00

This depends on what you work as and how you can position yourself at your work place. We would typically recommend a minimum of 2 weeks off.

Do I need special garments/pillows during recovery?2021-03-31T14:37:15+01:00

Yes, these are supplied by the clinic and are included in your treatment fee.

Will my body metabolise the fat?2021-03-31T14:52:55+01:00

Regarding medical studies, there is a guideline that approximately 30% of fat transfer is reabsorbed over the first 6-12 months after surgery. The fat that does survive the transfer will remain permanently and will behave like any other fat in the body. It will respond to normal weight gain and loss as any other fatty tissue.
